The Wizard needs your help during the Fall Fun Fair and Silent Auction.

We have a sign-up genius to ask for help to set up, during the fall fun fair, and clean-up. We need all hands on deck during this event, it's our largest event and we would appreciate every parent attending to help with at least one 30-minute slot! No training is needed!

Wickham Fall Fun Fair and Silent Auction

Join us for food and beverages, face painting, balloon animals, a photo booth, and inflatables at the Wickham Fall Fun Fair!

A wristband is required for entry (students and guardians). This is our largest fundraising event of the year. Please order family wristbands for immediate family members only. If your family is bringing additional friends or students please have those individuals purchase their own wristband. A wristband is required for entry and all students must be accompanied by an adult. This is not a drop-off event.

Admission (day of): $17/person or $50/family
If you want assistance with getting scholarship tickets please contact the Wickham Student Family Advocate, Jill Winders,  winders.jill@iowacityschools.org or Sara Curtin-DeLara curtindelara.sara@iowacityschools.org
Pre-ordered wristbands will not be shipped - they should be picked up at the registration table on the night of the event.

The Wickham silent auction will also take place at the event. Bid on an assortment of prize baskets in the gym. We encourage cash or check so your generous donations will go 3% further when we avoid the credit card fee!

Celebration Herky 2024-2025

Wickham Celebration Herky Wickham Elementary has a large Herky dressed up like a wizard prominently displayed near the entry of our school. In years past we offered families the option to rent Herky for a day to display a message of celebration (birthday, half birthday, sporting event, holiday, etc.) for your student. We ask for a $10 donation for each day that you reserve to serve as a fundraiser for PTO.

To Reserve the Celebration Herky:

1. Reserve your date by signing up via this SignUp Genius

2. On the school day before your reservation (For example: If you have a Monday reserved, drop the poster board off on Friday) drop a 22 x 28 poster board off at the school office. The poster board may be decorated with your message and any other decorations you would like to include. THIS POSTERBOARD WILL NOT BE RETURNED. DO NOT INCLUDE ANYTHING THAT YOU WANT BACK. Standard poster boards may be purchased at several local retailers (Target, Walgreens, Michael's, etc).

3. Wickham office staff will place your poster board in front of Herky on the morning of your reservation.4. At the end of the school day janitorial staff will recycle the poster board. PLEASE PUT YOUR NAME AND EMAIL ADDRESS IN THE COMMENTS AREA OF THE SIGN-UP GENIUS SO WE KNOW WHO HAS RESERVED HERKY FOR THAT DAY.

Payment can be made at Wickham PTO Store or a check can be left in the office. This is a suggested donation but the PTO wants everyone interested to participate. If the donation amount prohibits participation, please just sign up. Payment will not be demanded.

If you have questions, please contact the PTO at wickhampto@gmail.com

Rules:No profane words, symbols or derogatory or offensive messages will be permitted. We realize there may be multiple students with the same birthday--Sign Up will be first-come-first-served. NO EXCEPTIONS

Summer birthday? Celebrate a half-birthday. Birthday on a day with no school? Reserve a day before or after

The Wizard Donation Drive

In lieu of the PTO asking students to participate in sales fundraisers (i.e. - selling wrapping paper, fruit, etc.), Wickham families elect to hold an annual donation drive. This fundraiser is called the Wizard Donation Drive.

Each year, based on the planned costs of enrichment activities for the coming year, the Executive Board provides a suggested amount for each family.

The suggested annual Donation Amount is: $75.00 (1st student) + $25.00 (per each additional student).

Why the suggested amount?  By each family donating the suggested amount (or more), the Wickham PTO can fully fund all programming and achieve our goal of enriching the lives of ALL of our students, staff, and families.

Families may contribute via cash or check (made payable to Wickham PTO) and drop off at the Wickham Elementary Main Office or via our easy online donation form (see blue button to the right).  Keep in mind that donation/contributions made to the PTO are tax-deductible. Although a suggested amount is provided, please know that any amount donated is greatly appreciated.

IMPORTANT NOTE - PLEASE READ:

The Textbook and Planner Fees (paid to the District via Powerschool) are NOT contributions to the PTO and are not part of the Wizard Donation Drive or any other PTO Fundraising activity.  Any donations made to the PTO are separate from Fees owed to the District.
