Send a Note to a Teacher

Volunteer to send a note to Wickham Teachers
Can we all agree that this school year has been a doozy?!? Let's make sure our teachers are feeling the love - please volunteer to send a note of appreciation (via mail or email) to a Wickham teacher. Use the SignUp Genius link below to sign up for a spot - spots available for classroom, special education, and specials teachers - sign up for more than one! The goal is for each teacher to receive a note once per month. Send your note on the date you sign up for (approximately).

Some online Wickham students may have specials teachers who are not represented on this list. Feel free to reach out to them as well!

Address for mailing cards to teachers working in the building:
Wickham Elementary, 601 Oakdale BLVD, Coralville IA 52241

No upcoming events at the moment

During the month of February Wickham will receive $1.00 for every My Heart Reusable Bag sold at Crosspark Road Hy-Vee.

Unfortunately, the bags are not available for purchase on Aisles online, they must be purchased in-store. Reusable bags may be used at Hy-Vee again. Shoppers may need to bag their own groceries when using them but that varies by store location.

Spirit Night - Tuesday, February 9

Wickham Elementary will earn a portion of all sales at Texas Roadhouse on Tuesday, February 9. Mark your calendar and watch Facebook for more details!

Valentine's Day Cooking Class

Taught by Becky's Mindful Kitchen via Zoom

Join us on February 14 from 1 to 2 p.m. to make heart-shaped strawberry jelly sandwich cookies. The class is free to Wickham families. This class is limited to 100 devices being logged into Zoom at the same time.
Please register your household by selecting a quantity of "1". This represents the number of devices that your household will use to login to the event.

There is no fee to participate in this class but if you would like to help PTO offset the cost of this private event please make a donation.

The recipe and list of ingredients will be emailed to participants prior to the class.

Wizard Donation Drive

Wizard Donation Drive is happening now.  Please remember this is for ALL STUDENTS (hybrid and online). Please participate in our primary fundraiser this year.

Amazon Smile

If you order anything from Amazon, please consider registering with Amazon Smile.  All you have to do is select Wickham Elementary PTO as your designated charity and a portion of all your purchases will be donated to the school.  Prices, delivery, etc. does not change.. Amazon simply makes a donation to the school based on your purchases.

Box Tops

No more clipping boxes and sending them to school (although if you have some left, please send them in).

Download the Box Top App to your phone.
Scan all your receipts (within 14 days of sale) and if you purchased an eligible item, money is automatically put in Wickham's account.
So easy and can work on online receipts (i.e. Hy-Vee Online) too.

The Wizard Donation Drive

The Annual Wizard Donation Drive, is the main source of revenue for the PTO (this is especially true this year). This fundraiser is chosen in lieu of any sales-type fundraisers. Wizard Donation Drive applies to all students. The suggested amount per family is $75 for the first student, and $25 for each additional student. Although this is the suggested amount, any donation is greatly appreciated.

Wickham Families may contribute via check (made payable to Wickham PTO and mailed to the Wickham office) or online through our website:

PLEASE NOTE: The textbook and planner fees are paid separately to the School District and are NOT contributions to any PTO fundraising.

Our PTO supports the enrichment of all students at Wickham Elementary. We do this by providing the organizational structure and financial support for:

  • Student Activities & Programs such as the Science Fair, Chess Club, Wickham's Got Talent, Lego League; school field trips, visiting authors and artists

  • Family & Community Events and Programs such as the Back to School Social, Fall Fun Fair, Family Movie Night, and the End of Year Picnic

  • Teacher & Staff Support such as staff appreciation events, classroom assistance and technology enhancement

In order to provide these services to our school community, we need parent volunteers for the roles listed below during the 2019-20 school year.  Many roles will come with notes from committee members of previous years, and the PTO can help when needed.  You might consider signing up for a committee with a friend or two, or a group of neighbors!
