CLUBS & EVENTS-
Chess Club will be meeting on Wednesday afternoons, 3-3:45 starting October 9- January 15. In December you will be able to sign up for a second session of Chess Club that will run from February to May. This club is open to all 1st to 5th grade students but there is a limited number of slots available. After you register you will get a form to fill out and tell us where your child should go at 3:45 (e.g. walk home, BASP, pick up)
Beginners are welcome but please only sign your child up for Chess Club if your child is very interested in playing chess. Students will get to play chess during every meeting and Coach Eric will be there to give them instruction. The club fees go towards paying the coach and maintaining supplies for the club. Scholarships are available.

Math club is OPEN
for registration
Math Club (Fall session) will be meeting on Friday mornings (excluding no school days), from 7:10am to 7:55am starting October 4th. This club is open to all 3rd to 5th grade students but there is a limited number of slots available. Math Club cost will be $26 which includes a payment processing fee.
Please only sign your child up for Math Club if your child is very interested in Math. Coach Athena Wu will be there to provide instruction along with 2 volunteer Wickham alumni who are currently in 11th grade at West High. The club fees go towards paying the coach and maintaining supplies for the club. Scholarships are available.

Wickham Chinese Club
Want to get an early start to build Chinese language communicative skills and connect to an increasingly globalized world? Looking to discover joy in exploring Chinese culture in a full-immersion environment? Come and join our Chinese Club After School Program!
Students will learn to greet, introduce themselves and family members, count numbers, discuss animals, foods, fruits, and beverages, and many more in spoken Mandarin Chinese via pedagogically designed flash animations, Chinese cartoons, and children’s songs.
Students with basic spoken skills will be coached to write their names in Chinese characters, learn the highest-frequency characters, read age-appropriate graded readers, and create diary entries and stories.
Students will be taught by Donglin Chai - an instructor from the Midwest Chinese Academy.
Schedule: Tuesdays 3-4pm, Sep. 10, 17, 24, Oct. 1, 8, 22, 29, Nov. 12, 19, 26 (10 weeks)
Age: 1st-6th grade students (all levels welcomed)
Class Size: maximum 15 students
Tuition: $110 per student *Please note tuition is non-refundable*
